Introduction
This MUA display is based upon an exhibit entitled "Underwater Archaeology of 'The Sunken Fleet of 1758'" that opened at Lake George, New York's Fort William Henry Museum & Restoration in August 2012 and was expanded in 2014. The exhibit was conceived and organized for the museum by Bateaux Below and the French & Indian War Society. The exhibit reviews the underwater archaeology studies of Lake George's "Sunken Fleet of 1758" conducted by Bateaux Below from 1987 to 2011, as well as earlier fieldwork undertaken by other research groups.
