He in the Battle risked his Life
The aperture is the opening in the test through which an amoeba extends its pseudopodia. When a testate amoeba dies, its test is all that is left behind. This is a drawing looking straight into the aperture left by an amoeba. There are often smaller particles lining the edge of the aperture and the particles increase in size towards the opposite end of the test.
