Trying the Tools

To get a better sense of how these tools were used, student curators took turns striking a piece of wood under the supervision of Dr. Knoerl. This activity gave them a better appreciation of the skills needed to use these tools effectively and provided a point of comparison for the marks each tool made on the boat.
