Today, Mullet Bay is a popular attraction for tourists and locals who visit the playground positioned in a grassy recess along the bay. What many do not realize, however, is that in addition to a playground, Mullet Bay also contains a graveyard. While not a graveyard in the traditional sense of the word, Mullet Bay is the collection site for the skeletons of many abandoned ships. Vessels said to have been deposited in Mullet Bay include the St. Jarnan, and two American schooners, the two-masted Priscilla and the four-masted Sally Wren. Priscilla, pictured above, was an American schooner and one of the largest boats in the Newport Bermuda Yacht Race of 1907. After a single voyage to the Turks and Caicos Islands carrying salt, Priscilla returned to Bermuda and sprang a plank in 1911. The vessel's ribs remain to this day.
